Presto turns on TV for Android tablet users

Select Android tablets, mostly from Samsung but also the Nexus 7, now join the iPad, Chromecast, PCs and Macs in being able to watch Presto’s TV programming, but still no Android smartphones, iPhones, smart TVs or games consoles as with Netflix - yet.

While Netflix is expected to offer both movies and TV shows for its $9.99 monthly charge, Presto thinks it can charge $9.99 per month just for TV or movies, with both services to cost $14.99 per month.

Music, movies and more coming to BlackBerry World

Other vendors found it impossible to provide a truly global content store thanks to the machinations of rightsholders, and Research In Motion has run into the same roadblocks. While BlackBerry World for BlackBerry 10 will open up in Australia with a catalogue of DRM-free music from major and independent labels, we'll have to do without movies and TV shows.
