Psystar: It's dead, Steve

Apple has succeeded in gaining a permanent injunction against Mac clonemaker Psystar from selling computers with any version of OS X installed. The court also declined to exclude Rebel EFI, Psystar's software that enables an end user to install OS X on a non-Apple machine, from the injunction.

The Mac clonemaker, which has been locked in legal battle with Apple for more than a year, has told the court that the two companies have reached an agreement on damages. At the same time, Psystar claims it still has the right to sell software that enables customers to make their own Mac clones.

Psystar to license cloning technology

Mac clone manufacturer Psystar, which has been embroiled in a long-running legal wrangle over its Mac clone business, announced that it plans to license its "virtualization technology" to other PC manufacturers. The result would be Psystar-certified OS X "compatible" computers.
