Researchers at the security firm McAfee claim to have found a new threat to companies dealing in the nuclear, defence, energy and financial sectors, which they have named Operation Sharpshooter. It works only on Windows.

As I write this, we are nearly one week into the Malaysian Airlines tragedy in which almost 300 lives were lost. The mainstream media coverage and commentary from Western political leaders of the downing of MH 17 over Ukraine is nothing short of appalling. In short, we are being subjected to an overt attempt to lie us into another war.

Australian icon Dick Smith has lashed out at the government's energy policies, describing our economy as "extremely vulnerable" and calling for the support of nuclear energy.

As Australia readies itself for the imposition of a Carbon tax and renewed calls ring out from Bob Brown and the Greens to shut down all of Australia's coal fired power stations, the question remains as to whether the Greens vision of Australia going 100% renewable energy by 2020 is actually feasible or just a dewy-eyed impossible dream.
