Glaciers on Kilimanjaro melting fast

According to scientific measurements made on Kilimanjaro by U.S. researchers, the glaciers found on the mountain in Africa could be gone within 25 years or less.

Due to the warming of the global climate the snow and ice in and around The Matterhorn has been melting, which is spurring Italian and Swiss officials to re-draw the border between their two countries. This peaceful negotiation will result in a new border for the two countries, but elsewhere in the world other border changes caused by global warming could possibly be not so peaceful.

Brittlestar Volcanica: the search for food

A city of tiny "brittlestar" starfish have been found on a huge undersea volcano, waving their "arms" in the water to catch passing by particles of food.

A U.S.-German study has shown that mountains in the western United States formed much earlier than once thought by geologists--specifically about 12 million years ago, approximately 9 or 10 million years earlier than previous research had shown.
