The value of retail roaming market will hit at US$19 billion ($27 billion) by 2027 from US$10 billion ($14.4 billion) in 2022—a growth of 98% in revenue, which will be driven by both an increase in the number of 5G roaming subscribers across key international travel corridors between North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific and data generated by these new 5G connections while roaming internationally, according to Juniper Research.

Leading telco and big data analytics company Mobileum has been acquired by Boston Massachusetts-based private equity firm Audax in a deal which Mobileium says will allow it to continue to consolidate its position as a market leader in roaming systems while strengthening its rapidly growing analytics solutions portfolio.
