Snow Leopard 'data loss' bug not so bad after all?

Much has been written about a (supposedly) rarely-surfacing bug in Mac OS X Snow Leopard involving guest accounts. It seems that the missing data might not be deleted after all.

Microsoft extends support for Mac Office 2004

Microsoft has announced that Mainstream Support for Macintosh Office 2004, originally scheduled to end today, will run for another two years. The reason for the extension is to provide continuous support for Visual Basic for Applications.

BlackBerry Desktop Software for Mac out this Friday

It's official: Snow Leopard this Friday

Apple's mildly awaited upgrade to Mac OS X, Snow Leopard, will make its official debut August 28. Upgrading from Leopard will be relatively inexpensive, but upgrading from Tiger will require buying a bundled software package as well.
