Aussies want individuals to carry the can for breaches

Research conducted for security vendor Palo Alto Networks has found 92% of Australians want someone to be held liable when a local company is breached in a cyber attack, and half of them think that that person should be a board director or a C-suite executive.

European Parliament passes new copyright rules

New copyright rules have been passed by the European Parliament in Brussels overnight, making Internet publishers liable for content that is uploaded by users.

Go Google the search giants product base and you will discover, even if you discount the experimental labs stuff, that nearly half of everything it produces is still in beta. That includes Gmail which has remained a beta product for 4 years! What possible reason could there be for this?
