The latest update to Google's Chrome browser delivers speed improvements previously found only in beta releases. The company claims a 66% boost in JavaScript performance.

New features coming to Google's Chrome browser will deliver significant performance improvements for JavaScript-heavy pages and make searching speedier.

Apple has updated its Safari browser, delivering several minor improvements plus a laundry list of security fixes. Versions 4 and 5 for both Mac OS X and Windows and Safari are affected.
