Apple gives Safari extensions

In a bid to catch up with Firefox and Google's Chrome, Apple today released Safari 5.0.1 through Software Update or as a separate download. Unlike previous versions of Safari, Apple is now offering Safari Extensions - so that developers can add new features and add to Safari's, thus far, limited capability.

Opera 10.52: fastest Mac browser?

Opera Software has claimed the Mac browser speed crown with the release of Opera 10.52.

Apple has introduced a new clause to its iPhone developer licence that restricts the languages that can be used to write apps. Adobe isn't mentioned, but it is the apparent target of the change.
