Telecom Egypt has teamed up with Huawei Cloud to launch what they call Huawei’s first locally-based public cloud platform in Egypt and Northern Africa.

A vulnerability in the Oracle WebLogic Server product of Oracle Fusion Middleware is one route through which Linux malware, observed by researchers at Trend Micro to be attacking Huawei Cloud, a relatively new cloud service provider, gain access to systems.

Huawei's Enterprise Business Group (BG) has released its strategic plan for partner business in 2021, which will see Huawei "continue to develop, nurture, motivate, and support partners through better investment and incentives to build an open, collaborative, mutually beneficial ecosystem."

Spending on cloud infrastructure services in China in the final quarter of 2020 grew 62% year-on-year to US$5.8 billion (A$7.7 billion), the technology analyst firm Canalys says.

Expenditure on cloud infrastructure services in China grew by 65% in the third quarter to cross US$5 billion (A$6.78 billion), a rise of more than US$750 million in the second quarter and nearly US$2 billion more than the corresponding period in 2019, the technology analyst firm Canalys says.

An MOU has been signed by Huawei and Microsoft at Huawei’s Connect 2017 event for “in-depth co-operation on the public cloud” to help companies implement “digital transformation".
