Adobe's new Acrobat extensions for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge provide what the company claims is the most comprehensive set of PDF tools.

The latest version of the Firefox browser for the Android platform appears to have diverged from its old philosophy of giving users control over the way they use the app, with some kind of iron control being wielded over what extensions one uses.

The Mozilla Foundation, the organisation that produces the open-source browser Firefox, has released updates to fix the issue with the browser that prevented users from downloading extensions and also rendered any existing extension unusable.

Firefox users have had all the extensions they use in their browser disabled due to the expiry of an intermediate signing certificate a few days ago. They have also been unable to download and use any new extensions.

While Microsoft would prefer you use its Edge browser on Windows 10 as part of its ecosystem, the most popular Windows browser is Google’s Chrome. But there is a downside to Chrome – spying and battery life.
