Samsung will be the lone name missing from the list of Android smartphone makers who have all pledged to use the latest silicon from Qualcomm, the 888 5G mobile platform, in smartphones next year.
Global semiconductor, services and software firm Qualcomm Technologies says the new Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra and Note20 in select regions, and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S7/S7+ globally, have been designed to take advantage of its latest Soc, the Snapdragon 865 Plus 5G.

TCL Communication, better known for its range of cheap television sets, has announced its first lot of self-branded smartphones, the TCL 10 series, all of which are priced under US$500. The devices will be available for sale later this year, with availability dates to be announced over the next few weeks. Two of the models will be sold in Australia.
