Optus Enterprise and Myriota have partnered with Queensland’s Moreton Bay Regional Council to deploy ground-breaking Internet of Things (IoT) satellite water tank sensors that will monitor the level of water in outdoor water tanks, eliminating the need to send staff to remote locations for manual checks. The inefficient solution required one staff member per day per week to monitor waters levels.

Myriota raises $28m in series B funding round

South Australia-based Myriota, a connectivity provider for nanosatellite Internet of Things devices, undertaken a $28 million series B funding round led by industry superannuation fund Hostplus and Main Sequence Ventures, the company has announced.

Adelaide firm Myriota to set up IoT lab

Adelaide-based satellite communications firm Myriota will invest $1.36 million of its own money plus a matching grant from the South Australian Government to set up an Internet of Things laboratory, creating more than 50 new jobs in IT and advanced manufacturing.

South Australian company Myriota has been recognised at the Internet of Things World 2017 conference in Silicon Valley, receiving an award for being the Best Industrial IoT Start-Up Company.
