Quickflix CEO Stephen Langsford says the Kindle Fire represents the latest opportunity for Quickflix to extend its audience reach in Australia.
Its streaming service will be available on the new Amazon Kindle Fire as part of its launch in Australia. The Kindle Fire comes pre-loaded with the Quickflix app, which enable access to its ‘all you can view’ subscription streaming of movies and TV shows and pay per view of latest release movies and current season’s TV shows.
TV and movie streaming is growing among Australian consumers, as more and more devices like the Amazon Kindle Fire offer even greater choice when it comes to on-demand content. Langsford says the number of hours of movie and TV streamed by Quickflix increased by 20% in the September 2013 quarter.

“The Kindle Fire is the latest consumer device to feature Quickflix streaming. It features a high quality 7-inch screen and an easy to use interface and app store. The more devices we add to our network the more convenience and choice we provide our customers and the more valuable our service becomes.
“We’re literally putting movies and TV shows in the hands of our audience. The days of being dependent on the TV stations for whatever’s on are quickly coming to an end.”
