While the teaser site has not yet been confirmed as real or a hoax, it was discovered today that a trademark registration for Fallout 4 from Bethesda had been published on the website of the European Union’s official trademark office.
Little is known about the highly anticipated sequel to the successful Fallout series, and gamers have long been anxious to hear more about the future of the franchise.
The trademark registration should not be taken as empirical evidence of the existence of Fallout 4, as developers often register trademarks in the interest of protecting their intellectual properties for potential use in the future.
That being said, when coupled with the aforementioned teaser site, which appears to be counting down to 12 December, speculation over an imminent Fallout announcement is understandably high.
