The camera, known as GS-TD1, apparently features three different main modes of shooting: LR Independent 3D, Side by side 3D and boring old 2D. 3D photography is also possible, and video playback is performed through a touchscreen LCD that doesn't require glasses.
The price is TBA, although expect it to cost more than $1649, which you will pay for the GZ-HM970B (catchy, right?). This model, also new, comes equipped with a 2D to 3D conversion output function, which can upscale 2D images to 3D. This model only comes with 32GB flash memory, however.
The four remaining models announced by JVC for 2011 include: GZ-HM870B (RRP $1,099), GZ-HM670B (RRP $769), GZ-HM445B (RRP $549) and GZ-HM30B/R (RRP $399).
It's time to get shooting, budding directors!
