auDA Foundation opens 2023 grant round

The auDA Foundation's 2023 community grant round will make $600,000 available to 15 new education, research and community-based projects that enhance the utility of the internet.

The round, which is part of auDA's public benefit program, offers $40,000 funding for projects that enhance digital inclusion and digital innovation for rural, regional and remote Australians; Australians living with disability; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples; older Australians (65 years+); or young Australians (12-24 years.

15 grants will be awarded.

The auDA Foundation has supported more than 150 projects to the tune of $4 million since 2006.

auDA public benefit program committee chair Sandra Davey said "It makes all of us at auDA really happy to launch this year's Foundation grant round which will support community-led improvements to the internet for Australians. Projects supported by the Foundation make a meaningful, positive impact to Australia and we're looking forward to receiving this year's applications."

auDA CEO Rosemary Sinclair said "auDA is proud to continue to support the auDA Foundation. Its community grant program delivers economic and social value for the community by delivering innovations in how Australians access and use the internet."

Applications for the 2023 community grant round are now open and close at 11.59pm AEDT Monday 2 October 2023.
