Commercial real estate and property group Investa has picked Superloop to be its telco infrastructure provider for more than 1,100 premises across two upcoming sites in the build-to-rent market.

Investa appointed Superloop to deliver connection to more than 700 units in Footscray (VIC) and an additional 445 apartments in Southbank (VIC), both expected to be completed in 2025.

Superloop will build a wholesale FTTP network that will operate for the lifetime of the buildings. These networks will deliver broadband, voice, MATV, and smart building services at both future developments.

“Working together from early on in the project means we can support Investa as they create smart communities that meet the increasingly digital needs of their future residents,” said Superloop group executive for business and wholesale Daisey Stampfer.

“We’ve long stated that our goal at Superloop is to refresh the way the internet is delivered in Australia – and signing with an award-winning developer like Investa is proof that we’re making real progress in this space,” concludes Stampfer.

This week, Superloop made headlines when it turned down Aussie Broadband’s conditional deal worth $466 million.
