Copilot for Business costs almost twice as much as the regular edition (US$19 per user per month compared with $10 per month for what is now known as Copilot for Individuals).

In return for the higher fee, Copilot for Business provides simpler licence management, organisation-wide policy management, corporate VPN proxy support, and "industry-leading privacy".

In related news, GitHub says improvements to Copilot saw an increase in the acceptance rate of the code it generates from 27 percent in June 2022 (when the product was made available to all developers) to 35 percent in December 2022.

Copilot has also gained an AI-based vulnerability filtering system to help avoid common coding errors such as hardcoded credentials, SQL injections and path injections.
