Steve Jobs: the ultimate 'œone more thing'?

The news has spread far and wide that Steve Jobs won’t be giving the Stevenote at Macworld 2009, or attending future Macworlds, with Apple semi-lamely sending in Philip Schiller, the senior VP of worldwide marketing, to shill Apple’s latest and greatest, instead. Still, could the antidote to the bitter pill of the Schiller make way for the ultimate “one more thing” – a last minute appearance by Steven P. Jobs himself?

Apple netbook tipped for Macworld introduction

A fresh round of speculation about the possibility of an Apple netbook has been triggered by an analyst's "triangulation." Why did Apple put out the FireWire?

Although the death of FireWire was long ago telegraphed when Apple stopped supporting it on the iPod, the untimely death of FireWire on the new MacBook has really fired up users who have lots of FireWire based equipment and want a MacBook – not a MacBook Pro.
