Adelaide-based startup The Big Middle aims to provide mid-market businesses with industry-specific systems based on Salesforce and Oracle.

Co-founder and CEO Andrew McAdams sold his previous business – PrimeQ – to Accenture for more than $30 million in 2018.

Co-founder Greg Taylor serves as the company's COO. and Geoff Rohrsheim is a director.

The Big Middle will focus on mid-market businesses with revenue between $100 million and $1 billion, building Salesforce and Oracle based industry-specific products that are delivered remotely and charged on a subscription basis.

"Australia's mid-market business community has been let down by the major technology providers who have shifted their focus to larger corporations while acquiring many of the smaller resellers," said McAdams.

"They've left an enormous gap in the market and we intend to fill it."

The Big Middle is looking to hire 150 software consultants around Australia and New Zealand.

"Too often, employees in big consulting firms feel stuck and like a number," added McAdams.

"We bring a different approach, knowing that great organisations are those with a strong culture, where everyone is valued and has an opportunity to flourish.

"We're building relationships that matter in a digital world, seeking software consultants who will embrace our core values of transparency, ingenuity, inclusion and safety."
