Microsoft's advance notification shows just two security bulletins are planned for release this week, and neither appear to involve software that is installed on most Windows computers.
Patch Tuesday often sees the release of security bulletins affecting Windows itself, Internet Explorer, or components of the Office suite.
The first bulletin this month concerns Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2010 SP1 (more specifically, Visual FoxPro), and is rated important.

However, there will be the usual update for the Malicious Software Removal Tool, as well as four non-security updates to address as yet unspecified issues variously affecting Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, plus a ActiveX killbits rollup for all currently supported versions of Windows.
All these updates are scheduled to be released on Tuesday September 11, US time.
