Centrify credentials work for Good

By

A partnership between Centrify and BlackBerry sees the former's credentials certified as 'Secured for Good' and supporting single sign on from mobile devices.

Centrify’s smartcard-based mobile derived credentials can now be used to access apps and servers from the Good secure container.

The combination of single sign on, multi-factor authentication, and the Good secure container is said to be of particular interest to organisations that need to use smart-card based authentication from mobile devices.

Centrify provides turnkey, password-free access to thousands of apps within the Good secure container, as well as support for smartcard-derived credentials for secure authentication to the Good container.

This is achieved by using Centrify’s Identity Service to move smartcard data into the Good mobile container.

The required Centrify app is now available in the Good Dynamics marketplace.

"This is the solution the market has been waiting for as it allows organisations to work more securely without slowing down employees or hampering productivity," said Centrify senior vice president of business development Shreyas Sadalgi.

BlackBerry senior vice president and chief evangelist Mark Wilson said "These applications give users alternative strong authentication-based choices in accessing data on their devices."

BlackBerry acquired Good Technology last November.
