Wheeler, most recently a director at consultancy Oakton and a former Bauer Media Group CIO, has been charged with developing Brennan’s internal technology strategy with a major focus on the transformation of its current IT systems and processes to automate, standardise, and implement best practices.

Brennan CEO Stephen Sims says the company is fully committed to transforming the business in line with its strategy of becoming Australia’s “most trusted managed services provider” and Wheeler has an “immensely important” mandate to fill.

“Simon has more than 20 years of experience in senior roles, with a strong track record as a tech leader as well as developing, recruiting, and retaining top talent. He has been successful in delivering transformational initiatives and working in complex, challenging environments,” Sims says.

Wheeler says Brennan IT has a “strong foundation of smart processes and passionate, committed people. I’m looking forward to working closely with the team on our transformation strategy”.
