New man heads up Rimini Street APAC

By

Enterprise software support services provider, Rimini Street, has appointed IT industry veteran, Andrew Powell, as the new head of its Asia Pacific regional business as the company says it plans to expand investment in markets outside the US.

Announcing Powell’s appointment as Managing Director APAC, Rimini Street CEO, Seth Ravin, said the company continued to see “strong and growing market demand for Rimini Street support services,” from enterprise software customers in the Asia-Pacific region.

Ravin said Powell’s appointment was part of the company’s strategic plan to expand investment in all major global markets in the coming years and would lead Rimini Street in its next phase of investment and growth in Asia-Pacific.

According to Ravin, Powell will be “instrumental in bringing Rimini Street’s industry leading support program to the thousands of enterprise software licensees who can benefit from premium-level support services with up to 90 percent in total support cost savings over a decade.”

Ravin said Powell had a proven track record building, growing and leading businesses in the Asia-Pacific region, including 15 years of experience helping customers “drive success” with SAP enterprise software.

Powell previously worked with NTT DATA Business Solutions as General Manager in Australia, as regional vice president at Sabre Airline Solutions in Singapore and national SAP practice manager at Data#3.
