Boey steps in as regional SVP at SailPoint

By

Enterprise identity security vendor SailPoint has appointed Chern-Yue Boey as senior vice president for the Asia-Pacific region.

"We are delighted to have Boey join the SailPoint crew," said SailPoint CEO Mark McClain.

"With a depth of experience in large scale, high growth business in the Asia-Pacific technology sector, his leadership will allow us to capitalise on a period of high demand for SailPoint’s identity security offerings and support SailPoint’s continuing expansion in APAC."

Boey is also the founder of Three60, and remains a partner in the company.

He previously held senior regional roles at Automation Anywhere, Splunk, Symantec, Oracle and Hewlett Packard.

Earlier in his career Boey worked as a systems engineer at EDS and as an electrical engineer at the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.

He holds a bachelor of engineering degree in electrical and computer engineering from Monash University, and a graduate diploma of financial management from the Singapore Institute of Management.

"As enterprises and governments continue on their digital transformation journeys and look at ways of protecting their systems, applications, and data, understanding ‘who has access to what’ rises to the top of security concerns for C-suite and stakeholders," said Boey.

"Giving our customers the ability to balance productivity and security through enabling and securing their workforce across all of the systems, applications, and data is SailPoint’s mission."

In related news, SailPoint has appointed Wendy Wu to the role of chief marketing officer.
