Gym tech company Wimp 2 Warrior (W2W) has appointed Angus Benbow as its co-CEO and chief revenue officer.

"Angus is coming onboard right as we begin dramatically scaling the business and rapidly accelerating our technology rollout across North America, Europe, New Zealand, and into new growth opportunities emerging in India," said W2W co-founder and CEO Nick Langton.

"His seasoned and experienced leadership, as well as his complementary skill sets in operations across financial services and technology deployment, will be invaluable at this critical stage."

Benbow joins W2W from Centrepoint Alliance, where he served as CEO.

He was previously CEO of Shadforth Financial Group, and general manager of business delivery at News Corp Australia.

Benbow also spent seven years with Perpetual, most recently as transformation and integration director, had a stint at Booz Allen Hamilton as a senior associate, and served for a decade as an officer in the Royal Australian Navy, starting as a helicopter pilot.

He holds a master's degree in engineering from the University of New South Wales, an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Benbow also completed Harvard Business School's advanced management program.

"Nick and the team have built W2W into a truly global and highly-scalable technology play," said Benbow.

"It's an amazing opportunity to join at this early stage of growth, and to leverage my executive experience in financial services and technology deployment to help transform the company even further.

"W2W's programs, delivered by elite MMA athletes and world-renowned coaches, fundamentally change peoples' lives - and that is a powerful thing. They also generate significant new and ongoing revenue for our participant gyms."
