Airtasker takes on Collins as chief product officer

By

Airtasker has appointed former Zip chief product and technology officer Patrick Collins to the role of chief product officer.

"Patrick brings to Airtasker more than two decades of product leadership experience developed in leading Silicon Valley and Australian technology companies including 5th Finger and Zip Co, so we're very excited to bring him on board as we scale internationally and continue to invest in a world class customer experience," said Airtasker co-founder and CEO Tim Fung.

Collins joins the company from Zip where he spent two years as chief product and technology officer.

He previously worked as senior vice president of product and engineering at Moovweb, founder and CEO of Mokonut, senior vice president of customer experience products at Merkle, co-founder and CEO of 5th Finger, and head of product and engineering at ninemsn.

Earlier in his career, Collins held senior technology roles at TechnologyOne, TradingRoom, and Fairfax Digital.

He studied computer science at James Cook University and holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management.

"I joined Airtasker because of the team calibre, the growth aspirations and the vision for the product," said Collins.

"Having lived and worked in the US for more than a decade, I know I can help scale the product globally - particularly across the US and the UK."
