Vaya goes 4G Featured

By

Mobile reseller Vaya has added 4G service to its range.

A variety of phone plans are available, ranging from Power Plan 9 ($9 per month gets "$50" of talk and text credit at $2.15 for a standard two minute call, plus 100MB of data) to Power Plan 45 ($45 per month gets unlimited talk and text, plus 3GB of data).

Extra data can be purchased for $7 per GB with any unused portion expiring at the end of the calendar month of purchase.

See this page for details, and note especially that if you use the SIM from your phone in a tablet, the data used is considered 'excess' and charged at 4c per MB.

If you want more talk and text but less data for your money, Vaya also offers a range of Skinny Plans starting at $14 per month.

Standard tethering is permitted on both types of plan, and Vaya also offers data only plans starting at $33 for 10GB per month for tablet users. Excess data is only 2c/MB on these plans - go figure.

A Vaya SIM costs $20, but that charge is waived for customers who enter a 24-month contract.

Vaya runs on the Optus 4G network.

"4G coverage is changing the internet browsing experience. Everyone wants fast internet on-the-go and at a good price," said CEO Ben Pullen.

"At Vaya, we believe Australians should have access to these services and we’ve priced our plans competitively to meet that demand."
