The Federal Government says national broadband network operator NBN Co has demonstrated “operational and financial resilience” during the initial phase of the COVID-19 pandemic and has welcomed the company’s “strong” 2019-20 third quarter results.

NBN Co, the operators of the National Broadband Network, is claiming an earlier than planned activation of connections to the network for more than seven million homes and businesses across Australia.

NBN Co, the company building Australia’s National Broadband Network, lifted total revenue by 39% to $1.81 billion for the six months to the end of December 2019, with company chief Stephen Rue declaring the result “outstanding during a crucial time of the build”.
