Puntonet Ecuador to boost fibre broadband network to 10G using XGS-PON

Puntonet Ecuador, one of the largest ISPs in the country, has deployed Nokia's XGS-PON fibre solution, to provide up to 10Gbps broadband access to homes and businesses across 37 cities in Ecuador.

NBN Co, Nokia field trial ‘feasible’ to support multi-gigabit services

Wholesale broadband operator NBN Co has completed a field trial with Finnish telco vendor Nokia using three generations of passive optical network (PON) technologies—GPON, XGS PON, and 25GS PON—over its fibre to the premises (FTTP) network, proving its feasibility to support future multi-gigabit services.
