Suunto has announced the Australian launch of the Suunto 9 Peak Pro, which builds on the Suunto 9 Peak but with a new ultra-thin design, 21 days of battery life, and net watersport modes.
Suunto makes smart sports watches, dive computers and precision instruments, and it has made its first foray into Australian motorsport with its stellar sports watches added to Penrite's high performance program.
Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor, the Suunto bills its Suunto 7 as "a state-of-the-art smartwatch with adventure-proof GPS sport watch" with a "no-compromise approach to wearable technology", now at $599 at JB Hi-Fi and Suunto's online store.
Qualcomm Technologies, a subsidiary of Qualcomm, has released the new Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 platforms – the Wear 4100+ and Ware 4100, which it says are designed for next-generation connected smartwatches based on its hybrid architecture that uses very little power.
