Australians slow to embrace, adopt new technologies

Australians are slow to embrace new technologies according to new research revealing that new technologies are not being adopted quickly in Australia, with only 57% of Aussies reporting they have used smart technologies.

Uber offers year-long program to study AI

Global ride provider Uber is offering one individual a year-long program to study artificial intelligence either in the US or Canada.

The number of motorists in Victoria who want to own a fully self-driving car has fallen compared to last year, the toll road operator EastLink says, following its second annual survey of drivers in the state.

Ford announces US$1 billion AI investment

Ford Motor Company will invest US$1 billion during the next five years in Argo AI, an artificial intelligence company, to develop a virtual driver system for the automaker’s autonomous vehicle which is expected in 2021 – and for potentially licensing to other companies.
