Subco adds capacity to OAC with Ciena

Following its upgrade on the Indigo Submarine Cable, undersea networks systems company Subco has deployed Ciena’s GeoMesh Extreme technology, powered by WaveLogic 5 Extreme in the 6500 Packet-Optical Platform, to increase the capacity of the Oman Australia Cable (OAC) to a maximum of 48Tb/s, helping support increased bandwidth demands.
