India's smartphone market, the second biggest in the world after China, has reached 35.3 million units, the technology analyst firm Canalys says, adding that this was because vendors entered the year with "an improved inventory situation, which allowed channels to embrace multiple new offerings launched during the quarter".
Apple has underlined its dominance of the global mobile market despite being well behind its Android competitors in overall sales, grabbing seven of the 10 top spots for top-selling models in 2021.
