Semiconductor memory technology developer Weebit Nano is to raise $45 million with the launch of a fully underwritten institutional placement.

Technology is always improving, sometimes in an evolutionary fashion, sometimes in a revolutionary way, with the next quantum leap in memory said to be ReRAM, or Resistive Random Access Memory.

Semiconductor development company 4DS Memory claims to have developed ReRAM that has a speed approaching that of DRAM and that does not require error correction.

Former Intel Architecture Group executive David Perlmutter has joined the board of a new revolutionary RAM technology company. Its product could replace Flash NAND in the next few years.
