Australia loves to raise fears over anything to do with countries that it considers, well, below its exalted status, a status that exists only in the world of fiction.

Genpact’s research presents the view of 500 CIOs globally, 50 of whom are in Australia, on how they steered their companies during the Covid-19 pandemic and their preparedness to move forward. CIOs who invested in the right technology were able to adapt the best, according to the study.

Vodafone has created what it says is a "one-of-a-kind" roaming solution that will allow pilots with Australia’s national and international airline carrier, Qantas, to do away with filling out paperwork or relying on Wi-Fi to complete their pre- and post-flight checks.

Pilots who are employed by Qantas have worked with GE Aviation to develop a new flight data application named FlightPulse that helps people at the controls to fly more efficiently and reduce carbon emissions.

The Australian-developed  AvPlan software, which allows professional and recreational pilots to use an iPad to prepare and file airplane flight plans in just minutes, is now available for pilots in New Zealand.
