HP Inc has opened its second Australian Customer Welcome Centre (CWC) in the heart of the Sydney CBD at 20 Martin Place – although access is by invitation only for its 400+ channel partners and thousands of enterprise clients.

HP Inc, the hardware arm of the Silicon Valley pioneer formerly known as Hewlett Packard, says it expects to cut up to another 4000 jobs by 2019.

It’s a smartphone, no it’s a notebook, no it’s a desktop – all of these are within the HP Elite x3 business ecosystem.

Australian-born Dion Weisler will head the new HP Inc. - its Personal Systems (PC) and Printing side after the company was split into two parts – the other being its enterprise division.

Hewlett Packard has suffered a hit in its enterprise services business, with a significant drop in revenue for the division in the April quarter.

HP, the giant systems company that is now bigger than IBM, is splitting itself in half. Slightly smaller than half, actually - 5000 jobs will go.
