Universal (Disk)Warrior

Version 4 of DiskWarrior, the highly regarded Macintosh disk repair utility, runs on PowerPC and Intel based Macs and sports several important new features.

Many Mac users swear by DiskWarrior's ability to rebuild corrupted disk structures, and it is an essential part of the toolkit for freelance service people.

Geoff Wallace, proprietor of macfixer, said "It's nice to see Alsoft has caught up nearly a year after the Intel based Macs were introduced. Now they can be fixed using the best disk utility on the market."

Other new features include the ability to recover more data from malfunctioning drives, the identification of corrupted preference files, and the repair of attribute B-trees and Access Control Lists.

Distributed by Pica Australia, DiskWarrior 4 costs $159.95 ($89.95 upgrade). Supplies are expected this month.
