Epson RapidReceipt RR-600W helps eliminate paper storage

By

Epson's new RapidReceipt RR-600W receipt and document scanner aims to make life easier for small businesses, micro businesses and home users.

According to Epson, the RapidReceipt RR-600W is the only product in the market specifically designed for organising and managing receipts and invoices, making it perfect for small business owners, office managers, road warriors, field-based workers, consultants and gig economy workers.

The RapidReceipt scanner comes with Epson ScanSmart Accounting Edition software that can convert a stack of unorganised receipts and invoices into actionable data eliminating the need for manual entry.

The software extracts and organises data from receipts and invoices, and integrates with Excel, MYOB, Xero and other applications.

Supported paper sizes range from plastic cards to A3 (using digital stitching).

In addition, documents can be scanned and saved directly to cloud storage services such as Dropbox, Evernote, Google Drive and OneDrive.

Like other Epson scanners, the RR-600W provides automatic cropping, blank page deletion, background removal, dirt detection, paper skew correction, and staple protection.

Hardware features include scan rates of up to 35ppm (double sided), USB and Wi-Fi connectivity, a 100-page auto document feeder, a 4.3in touchscreen, and a second USB interface for scanning to a storage device.

The software bundle also includes a TWAIN driver for integration with most document management systems, Kofax Power PDF for Windows and PDF Converter for Mac to create searchable and editable PDFs, and NewSoft Presto! BizCard for turning business cards into contact information.

The $699 Epson RapidReceipt RR-600W desktop scanner is available immediately.
