Main Roads Western Australia has become the first WA department to undertake an e-ivoicing pilot program.
Main Roads WA lists the benefits of e-invoicing as including being safer than emailing an invoice and providing efficiency gains.
Oracle, Kofax and Link4 are connected through the Main Roads WAe-invoicing pilot program.
In December last year the Australian Taxatiom Office (ATO) on its website urged businesses to take up e-invoicing.

“eInvoicing benefits every business by simplifying and automating the exchange and processing of invoices. Digital service providers have started rolling out eInvoicing solutions. You can contact your software provider to find out what options are available, so you can enjoy the benefits of eInvoicing,” the ATO noted.
And as reported by iTWire in May last year, the Federal Budget included a $1.2 billion investment for Australia’s digital future.
