Viatek Technology Group managing director Jonathan Salmon said Comcity's strong partnerships with industry-leading vendors and distributors gave it the ability to provide its diverse customers with specialist IT resources and technical support.
"The acquisition further positions Viatek Technology as a credible and attractive alternative to the tier one outsourcers in Australia," said Salmon.
"It demonstrates to the market our strong metropolitan and regional presence, our progressive and flexible commercial approach and our breadth of services across enterprise applications, cloud-based infrastructure and managed services."

"Comcity's management and staff will stay the same, so customers will continue to receive the same great service they know."
Viatek group CEO Michael Doery said "There were many synergies with this acquisition and we are delighted to welcome this business to the Viatek group."
Comcity is a Citrix service provider partner, and its partnership with Microsoft has gold status for hosting and silver for datacentre and midmarket solutions. Its 'big name' clients include Hocking Stuart (real estate) and Bowens (hardware stores).
Viatek has vendor partner or dealer recognition from Cisco, Dell, Fuji Xerox, IBM, Microsoft, NEC, ShoreTel and others, and is an Apple authorised service provider. The company's clients operate in diverse sectors including accounting, construction and education.
Viatek acquired CN Group's Computer Networks and Consulting Networks operations in January 2014.
