VCPro is one of the first service providers in the Asia Pacific region to combine the Nimble CS300 storage array with the Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) Mini server architecture in a cloud-scale platform, company officials claimed.
Adding the Nimble CS300 to UCS gives VCPro the ability to independently scale performance and capacity to meet customer requirements.
"Our ability to navigate the challenges presented to both the public and private sector and effectively execute initiatives across a broad range of departments is one of VCPro's strengths," said VCPro director Richard Youssef.

Nimble director of Asia Pacific channel sales Theo Hourmouzis said "Our Adaptive Flash platform is an ideal solution for a cloud service particularly when contrasted against more narrowly focused tiered hybrid storage or flash-only offerings.
"It not only eliminates performance and capacity tradeoffs but provides the performance of flash-only arrays with the capacity of hybrid arrays.
"We very much look forward to supporting Australian organisations such as VCPro to help drive successful customer outcomes for DaaS through innovations in storage technology which significantly improve application performance and storage capacity."
In related news, VCPro has secured a contract with an unnamed Federal Government agency for the provision of desktop-as-a-service running on its UCS/Nimble platform.
