In a statement, the company claimed this would "improve companies' ability to discover, classify and protect their most sensitive data".
It added: "The partnership is part of Thales' generative AI strategy, bringing new AI-powered features and experiences to users of Thales' CipherTrust data security platform."

Vertex AI is a Google machine learning platform that can be used to train and deploy ML models and AI applications, and customise Google proprietary models (LLMs, Vision, Timeseries and more) for use in AI-powered applications.
