A subsidiary of Telecom Italia Mobile, TIM Brazil is a prominent mobile operator in South America's largest country, serving all Brazilian states.

Under the strategic partnership agreement with Ericsson, TIM Brazil aims to modernise its billing systems, consolidating multiple platforms and systems across its consumer, corporate, and fixed customers segments.

The billing systems modernisation project will be undertaken using the cloud-native Ericsson Billing solution, which will be deployed on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, with a public cloud deployment model.

By consolidating its billing systems into a single, converged platform, TIM aims to enhance system performance, streamline operations, and simplify its architecture.

According to Ericsson, its cloud-native solution offers improved infrastructure optimisation, bolstered security, and continuous product lifecycle management, integrating accounting, debt collection, and roaming functionalities into one cohesive platform.

Ericsson says the solution that TIM will deploy is designed to simplify billing for hybrid services, such as fixed and mobile, reducing integration complexity while providing comprehensive solutions.
