Nintex upgrade needed in light of MS workflow engine retirement

Process intelligence and automation specialist Nintex has responded to Microsoft's decision to retire the existing Microsoft SharePoint 2013 workflow engine in Microsoft Office 365 with an upgrade program to transition customers from Nintex Workflow for Office 365 to Nintex Automation Cloud.

Microsoft announced that SharePoint 2013 workflows will be turned off for new tenants as of 1 April 2024, and will be removed from existing tenants and fully retired as of 1 April 2026.

The Nintex upgrade program to Nintex Automation Cloud was originally announced in September 2022.

"While today's news shouldn't come as a surprise to customers, it is important for organisations to thoughtfully plan their migration. As process experts, Nintex is uniquely equipped to help," said Nintex vice president of product marketing Holly Anderson.

Nintex is running a webinar on Tuesday 2 May and Wednesday 3 May to provide more information and help customers through the migration.
