Coupa launches first business spend management app marketplace

By

Business spend management software house Coupa already handles almost one billion API calls per month. The company has now evolved its open platform with an app marketplace making it easier for users, partners, and independent B2B app developers to handle how organisations spend money and who they spend it with.

How companies spend money and with who has always been important, but it’s becoming a bigger issue than ever with increasingly specific requirements around diversity and inclusion, modern slavery concerns, global supply chains, regulatory changes, remote workforces, ransomware, and other emerging risks.

Coupa has already been helping the world's businesses manage their spending, and with its new app marketplace customers have an even easier and smarter way to extend Coupa’s platform, connecting them with certified, pre-built solutions to seamlessly tap into a trusted global community of partners.

"Companies have emerged from the pandemic with a newfound appreciation for managing spend effectively and comprehensively. Coupa’s BSM platform is a core system of record for them, with the expectation that it can be extended to deliver even more value,” said Roger Goulart, executive vice president, Alliances and Business Development, Coupa. “We launched the Coupa App Marketplace as a significant evolution of our open platform, to make it even easier for customers to discover and connect solutions from our rich partner community to empower businesses to spend smarter.”

Coupa's new app marketplace is the first business spent management marketplace offering solutions to extend a customer’s existing technology stack and deepen their capabilities to share information, automate workflows, and conduct key tasks.

Solutions from the marketplace range from supply chain insights to supplier risk analysis, to travel and expense and IT management.

Whatever the need, all the apps on the marketplace are guaranteed to be

  • adaptable - providing quick access to applications and integrations
  • connected - providing seamless linking for a single source of truth
  • efficient - delivering expert deployment through secure applications

The marketplace also offers an expanded go-to-market opportunity for the community of Coupa partners.

Partners currently publishing on the marketplace include Kofax, Vertex, SourceDay, Per Angusta, The Smart Cube, EcoVadis, and SecurityScorecard.”

We are proud to be a part of the Coupa App Marketplace and a trusted CoupaLink technology partner,” said Tom Kieley, CEO of SourceDay. “Our team leverages Coupa’s open BSM platform to combine our leading supplier collaboration capabilities with Coupa’s comprehensive approach to direct and indirect spend. Together, Coupa and SourceDay enable unbeatable supplier network collaboration, creating resilient supply chains, and fuelling critical savings for our customers.”
