After the shock decision by a Turkish court to ban YouTube in Turkey, thanks to a video that allegedly insulted Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, modern Turkey’s founder, the same court has decided to reverse their decision following an international outcry.

YouTube follows up NBA with BBC

Video social networking site YouTube has followed up its recent coup with the US NBA by signing an agreement with the BBC. Under the agreement, the BBC will show clips and trailers each day across three separate channels, covering news, documentaries and entertainment according to an Associated Press report.

The news that online TV platform Joost is to add more programs to its growing inventory of TV shows with international TV program distributor JumpTV has the media buzzing with speculation of its growing threat to YouTube. However, after only a brief play with Joost, it will soon become obvious why there is no threat to YouTube because YouTube and Joost are very different beasts.
