Elgato thinks small with EyeTV DTT Deluxe tuner

Bigger isn't always better. This is particularly true of USB TV tuners, which have a tendency to block adjacent ports unless an extension cable is used. Elgato has put its hardware on a diet, resulting in a tuner measuring just 57 × 17 x 9 mm.

Seven gives Foxtel the heave-ho with TiVo

With seven out of ten Australians choosing free-to-air TV over the Foxtel $100 per month pay TV option, and with most major TV shows millions watch still shown on free-to-air TV, the TiVo proposition with no subscription fees could well be the gold medal winner in the PVR stakes.

The free Sony PS3 deal is back on

The Sony Bravia HD LCD TV plus PS3 is back on.  As they ran over Christmas in Australia , Sony have announced the give away of thousands of PS3’s with the purchase of selected Bravia TV’s, and they are hyping it up with countdown tally.

Ericsson wants to be telcos' 'Televisionary'

The 'holy grail' of service providers as broadcasting and fixed and mobile communications converge is the 'three screens' model: the ability to deliver, and receive, integrated video content via PCs, TVs and mobile devices, and Ericsson is making a big push to be the preferred supplier to deliver on this vision.
