Yang returns to Seagate as regional VP

Seagate Technology has appointed Bob Yang as its regional vice-president for Asia-Pacific sales.

"We are pleased to have Bob join Seagate," said senior vice-president of global sales B.S. Teh.

"His extensive experience across different sectors of the storage industry will bring great value to our teams and his expertise will enable us to better address our customers' needs in the region. We are confident that Bob will bring Seagate's business in Asia to greater heights."

Yang previously worked for Seagate between 1997 and 2005, culminating in the role of senior director and general manager for Asia Pacific channel sales and marketing. He rejoined the company from LogRhythm, where he was regional sales director for Asia.
He has also worked as vice-president of sales for Asia at Acronis, president of storage services at Teleplan, and vice-president of APAC channel sales at Hitachi Data Systems,

Yang holds a bachelor's degree in operations research and industrial engineering from Cornell University.
