Qualys beefs up local team

Information security and compliance cloud provider Qualys has appointed Richard Sorosina to the role of ANZ chief technology security officer, Frances Kwok to the newly created role of regional business operations manager, and Neil Chen to the role of technical account manager.

Sorosina joins Qualys from Macquarie Telecom, where he was head of the cyber security practice.

He previously worked as founder and principal consultant at Verus Data Security, APAC sales engineering director at LogRhythm, APAC senior enterprise technology architect at McAfee.

Earlier in his career Sorosina held various technical roles at organisations in the UK.

He is a certified information security manager.

Kwok worked for CyberCX, most recently as channel marketing manager.

She had a previous stint at Qualys as APAC sales operations manager, and spent six years at Leap Legal Software, most recently as business development manager.

Kwok holds a diploma in teaching from the University of New South Wales, and a certificate in bookkeeping from Sydney TAFE.

Chen joins Qualys from Bitdefender, where he worked as presales manager.

He previously held a variety of presales and business development roles at Thales, Trustwave, Webroot, Red Hat and Zebra Technologies.

Chen holds a master's degree in engineering from the University of Technology Sydney, and a certificate in risk and information systems control from ISACA.
